So in an epic act of kindness, my friend Christine, who lives in Australia, BOUGHT me the TV. I could not be more THRILLED! After I posted, Don't Hate Me Because I'm Not Shabby, I received an email from her that said, "Hey, let me buy you the TV. It would make me happy!" No, I'm not kidding, she's really that nice. Of course my first reaction was, "It would make me really happy, too!" and then my more appropriate reaction was, "No, I can't let you do that. It's too extravagant!"
And friends --- I wanted desperately to be the kind of person who would flat out refuse an offer like that. But she insisted and I just couldn't say no. I kept picturing it in my front room ... so sleek it's almost camouflage. So I accepted ... and now it's mine! And I LOVE it. In fact, it's so pretty and skinny, if it wasn't a television, I'd be jealous of it ;)
Anyway, these are not the best pics so I will try to get some better ones. It's taking a bit longer than anticipated to get my apartment organized with my new roommate here (whom I love btw), and there isn't much time with me being in school again.
Check out Christine's jewelry line, Paint and Gratitude on Etsy. It's amazing that she makes all of this stuff herself. I can't even spray paint a table (See Exhibit A below). She's very talented, and her jewelry line seems to be doing well ... at least well enough to be able to afford to buy her friend a new television :)
